A simple fact, monk fruit sweetener comes from a fruit in China, has a history of thousands of years of use, is the world's only natural fruit extract although sweet, but 0 sugar 0 calories.
In the FOOD Standard ANZ, like all other sweeteners, including the most common aspartame, stevia, sucralose, which have more or less side effects, causing them to have daily guidelines for use (Average daily intake-ADI).
At present, monk fruit extract is the only sweetener lableing "there were no public health and safety issues associated with monk fruit extract. Therefore, an ADI wasn't set."
